10. What initiatives must be taken to reduce air pollution in your city?
Plant trees.
Industry and power sector should adopt innovative and eco-friendly technologies to control and monitor the release of emissions into the air.
Shift the industries outside the city.
Stronger and mandatory legal framework implemented by the government which prohibits industries, vehicles owners and others to emit pollutants into the air.
Use of electric and CNG vehicles instead of fuel running vehicles.
Improve the quality of fuel and establish independent fuel quality testing mechanism.
The government should establish air quality plans, short and long term plans that look at controlling emissions from all sectors.
Involve RWA to get involved in air pollution control.
